Aleksandar Tomašević
Aleksandar Tomašević, Ph.D., is Associate Research Professor in the Scientific Computing Laboratory at the Institute of Physics, University of Belgrade.
Professor Tomašević’s research focuses on computational social science, applied AI, online community analysis, machine learning, natural language processing, and large-scale social simulations. He is the developer and maintainer of transforEmotion, an open-source R package with a Python backend for multimodal emotion recognition in text, images, and video.
Tomašević earned his Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Novi Sad and was a Fulbright Visiting Researcher at the University of Virginia. His work has appeared in Computational Communication Research, EPJ Data Science, Journal of Computational Social Science, Personality and Individual Differences, Development and Psychopathology, and other journals.
