Resul Umit
Resul Umit, Ph.D., is Associate Professor in Comparative Politics at Durham University.
Professor Umit is a political scientist specializing in electoral representation and the politics of energy and climate. His research is based on causal inference to observational and experimental data, textual analysis, and surveys.
He is dedicated to high-quality teaching, having completed a comprehensive postgraduate program in higher education pedagogy and earned a Fellowship at Advance HE. Umit teaches digital skills workshops for academics and professionals, in addition to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in research design, quantitative methods, and political behavior.
Before joining Durham University, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Lucerne and at the University of Oslo. He completed his Ph.D. in 2017 at the University of Vienna.
